How was it?
1. Katsuo no tataki (Seared bonito)
The colors are so nice! Wow, it looks really tasty with all those fresh colors. Wow, it’s so soft, it’s crazy. But you can still really taste the tuna. Wow, it’s really, really good. And with the salt, it’s a whole new level. I usually only have soy sauce with fish. Wow, this is next level. It’s such good quality. Honestly, it’s really amazing. Wow, it’s so good with soy sauce too. Crazy, I love it. We don’t need anything else.
2. Gin’nan (Ginkgo nuts)
This is so exciting! Oh, it’s hot. The texture is different than I expected, but it’s nice and salty. At first, I thought it was like potatoes, but it’s not. It has a unique taste, kind of bitter at the end. It’s really good. Can I have another one? I can see why Japanese people like to eat it with beer. It’s probably because it’s salty. It’s a great snack. I love the texture. It’s really interesting. Maybe we should import this to Germany.
3. Imari gyū rōsutobīfu (Wagyu roast beef)
I’ve always wanted to try this! It smells amazing. Wow, this is amazing. It’s so good and flavorful. There are so many different tastes. The center is so tender and has so much umami. It’s really, really good. Yeah, the umami is amazing. Wow, it’s so good, honestly. It’s like the best beef I’ve ever had. So good, wow, crazy, it’s exceptional.
4. Nodo guro shioyaki (Salt-grilled blackthroat seaperch)
Wow, that’s crazy! I don’t think I’ve ever seen this fish before. Can I take a picture? Wow, it’s so soft, it’s insane. The skin is really nice and crispy and salty. It’s really juicy, that’s the perfect description. My teeth don’t have any work to do. Even without teeth, I could eat this. You should really enjoy this.
I think the attention to detail is the most important thing, and Japanese cooks really understand that. This is what you can experience on your plate. It seems like very healthy food, but it’s also incredibly juicy.
